It added: “The known conflicts of interest presented by this arrangement are illegal and must be addressed immediately.”

The White House responded to the incident

In response to the allegations, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt stated that Musk is following the law.

She mentioned that President Trump has committed to avoiding conflicts of interest.

However, the details about Musk’s financial disclosures remain unclear.

She added: “For concerns regarding conflicts of interest between Elon Musk and DOGE, President Trump has stated he will not allow conflicts, and Elon himself has committed to recusing himself from potential conflicts.”
