Miley Cyrus and Selena Gomez only “got along intermittently” during their Disney Channel days due to drama over their mutual ex, according to a fellow former child star.
“Wizards of Waverly Place” alum Jennifer Stone explained Monday why the actresses did not have scenes together in the show’s 2009 crossover episode with “Hannah Montana” and “Suite Life on Deck.”
Stone, 31, recalled, “It was, like, high school. Like, they both dated Nick. I think Miley dated him first and then Selena dated him, and then it was just messy high school nonsense.”
She went on to clarify during the “Wizards of Waverly Pod” episode, “They’re fine now. They’re all good now. But, yeah, it was high school BS.”
Jonas, 31, dated Cyrus, also 31, from 2006 to 2007, with the couple appearing in a crossover “Me and Mr. Jonas and Mr. Jonas and Mr. Jonas” episode amid their romance.
