King Charles Is Reportedly Frustrated Over Princes Harry and William
With so many of its major players sidelined, the royal family is stretching itself thin this summer as events pile up, and big names like Kate Middleton and Princess Anne are out of commission for now. According to insiders, King Charles appears to be focusing on his public appearances and trying to push all the drama between Prince Harry and Prince William to the back burner.
Robert Hardman, historian and author of Charles III: New King. New Court. The Inside Story, told the Mirror that the monarch is “hurt” and struggling because of everything going on behind the gilded gates of Buckingham Palace (and across the pond in Montecito), but that he feels as though he’s done everything he can in regards to the tension and is moving on from it all.
“Of course, the King is extremely sad about Harry and Meghan but there is a sense of exasperation, that he has done what he can and now he is King, there are many more things to think about,” Hardman says he heard from a royal insider. “He has tried listening. Now he just says: ‘I don’t want to know what the problem is. I’m just getting on with my life.”
After Charles shared his cancer diagnosis, Harry mentioned that he loved his family and that he was “grateful” for the opportunity to see his father. So, while the king may be exhausted from all the drama, there’s evidence that he’s able to overlook it for some quality time with his son
