Trump has changed Ukraine conversation, Starmer says… But Putin isn’t happy about…

US President Donald Trump has “changed the global conversation” on Ukraine, Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer said, three years after Russia’s full-scale invasion.
Sir Keir suggested Trump had “created an opportunity” to end the war, in a speech at an international summit in support of Ukraine in Kiev.
The Prime Minister also appeared to contradict President Trump, saying that “Russia does not hold all the cards in this war”.
Sir Keir said the West “must increase the pressure even further” on Russia and announced that the UK would impose a new round of sanctions on the country.
The Prime Minister said more sanctions could push President Vladimir Putin “to the point where he is prepared not only to talk but to make concessions”.
